The Problems with Family Walks

Taking the kids out for a walk seems such a simple thing to do but it can be fraught with complications. The complications being the kids. Whether they are small or tall they often don't seem than enamoured with the idea of taking a general stroll out.

I always remember my doctor, a father of five recounting his comment on their Sunday afternoon walks lasting fifteen minutes, if they were lucky. Most of the afternoon tended to be spent getting his small children toileted, coated, booted and in and out of the car.

When they get bigger and more vocal walking is not "cool" or it is just plain "boring" so the challenges continue. And yet it is healthy, relaxing gives you chance as a family to spend some time together and its free. All good reasons to persevere.
